In a unexpected collaboration that challenges conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Revealed

According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden group.

The mission focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an unique katana alongside numerous objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Titan-themed attire for Yasuke
• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Special arms
• Survey Corps steed

Newest Free Story Update

This release also introduces the game's newest no-cost story episode, titled "The Mystery." This playful quest teams Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature skills: Naoe debuts a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns.
